Silicon carbide stones are ideal for fast material removal. Their abrasive nature makes them perfect for quickly performing operations like coarse sharpening, shaping, leveling, or removing burrs after machining. Silicon carbide stones are relatively fast cutting compared to aluminum oxide stones, and are often employed when speed is important.

Coarse and Fine Combination

This stone combines a coarse side and a fine side on one stone. Whether multiple grits are required to do one job, or if one stone must handle multiple jobs, this silicon carbide stone offers the convenience of two grits in one. Use the coarse side for fast material removal and the fine side for surface refining.
